Last week, at the DKFZ Career Day 2024, PAICON’s co-founder and CEO Dr. Manasi Aichmueller-Ratnaparkhe shared an inspiring message with PhD, postdoc, and master’s students about the critical role of resilience in both startups and personal growth. The event brought together aspiring researchers and professionals to explore the intersection of science, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Drawing from her own journey—from her time at DKFZ to co-founding PAICON—she highlighted the unique challenges faced in the startup world, particularly in the highly dynamic field of cancer diagnostics. “Resilience,” she emphasized, “isn’t just about bouncing back—it’s about adapting, persevering, and finding purpose through uncertainty.”
