PAICON had the honor of participating in the Spanish Genomic Conference in Madrid, where thought leaders, researchers, and innovators came together to explore the future of genomics and precision medicine. It was more than a conference—it was a convergence of minds who not only understand the urgency of inclusive data in healthcare but are ready to act on it.

Our co-founder and CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Manasi A-Ratnaparkhe, took the stage to deliver a compelling keynote titled “Unlocking the Power of Diversity for AI.” As one speaker powerfully put it, “Every data point has a face behind it”—a message that echoed throughout the event and deeply resonated with our mission. This simple yet profound statement sparked meaningful conversations about the importance of representation in healthcare datasets, and how the absence of diversity can lead to systemic blind spots in diagnostics and treatment.

Engaging with Leaders Driving the Future of Genomics

During the event, we had the chance to connect with visionaries, researchers, and tech pioneers who share our commitment to equitable innovation. These interactions highlighted the need for cross-disciplinary, cross-border collaboration to ensure AI serves all populations, especially those historically underrepresented.

From exciting talks on LATAM genomics to practical discussions on inclusive data pipelines, our team left inspired and empowered to further our mission. We’re proud to see the conversation moving beyond awareness into action-oriented strategies.

Advancing the #Remaining84 Movement

This conference also marked a powerful step forward for our #Remaining84 campaign, which addresses the stark reality that only 16% of AI-ready cancer data represents non-European populations. At PAICON, we are committed to building for 100%—rooted in 84%.

We thank the organizers for this incredible opportunity and extend our gratitude to everyone we met in Madrid. The future of genomics and AI is inclusive, and we’re proud to be shaping it together.

Let’s make every data point count.
