PAICON Launches Remaining84.com: A Campaign for Equity in Cancer AI

We are proud to announce the official launch of Remaining84.com — the digital home of our global awareness campaign to address the glaring gap in cancer data equity.

At PAICON, we believe that equity is not optional. The Remaining84 campaign was born out of a stark reality: 84% of the global population is underrepresented in AI-based cancer diagnostics and drug development. With Remaining84.com, we now offer a dedicated platform to share insights, data, and solutions around this critical issue.

Why Remaining84?

Artificial intelligence is transforming cancer care — but it’s only as strong as the data it learns from. Today’s cancer AI tools and treatments disproportionately rely on datasets from high-income countries and predominantly white populations, excluding much of the global majority. This lack of representation compromises diagnostic accuracy, slows down innovation, and risks reinforcing existing health disparities.

Remaining84 is our call to action: to recognize, amplify, and include the genomic, geographic, and social diversity that is essential for truly global cancer care.

Join the Movement

We invite you to explore Remaining84.com, share it with your network, and join us in building a more inclusive future for cancer care. Whether you’re a researcher, clinician, policymaker, or advocate — your voice matters.

Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind in the future of oncology.
