The Remaining84 campaign was born out of a stark reality: 84% of the global population is underrepresented in AI-based cancer diagnostics and drug development. Why Remaining84?

Artificial intelligence is transforming cancer care — but it’s only as strong as the data it learns from. Today’s cancer AI tools and treatments disproportionately rely on datasets from high-income countries and predominantly white populations, excluding much of the global majority. This lack of representation compromises diagnostic accuracy, slows down innovation, and risks reinforcing existing health disparities.
